Catherine Lin was born in Taipei and educated in California, graduating from the University of California, Los Angeles, with a degree in economics. Finance was her primary focus, due to her business oriented family. Her father has been leading the largest private steel company in Taiwan and her mother owns an industrial sewing machine manufacturing company with distributors around the world. Catherine speaks and writes Mandarin fluently.

林思妤出生于台北，于加州大学取得经济学学士学位，因此具备优异的中英双语能力。由于出身自一个企业主家庭，思妤始终对财金议题相当关注。父亲是台湾最大私人钢铁公司总经理，母亲是一家拥有全球代理通路的工业用缝纫机公司之董事兼财务长。

Being educated in California has exposed Catherine to the best of the Chinese and American cultures. She is an energetic, highly motivated professional woman who was recruited by Merrill Lynch and worked in Private Wealth Management with high net worth clients on their investment portfolios. She has been a private real estate investor in Hawaii since 2001. 

在加州的求学经历让思妤能有机会沉浸在中华文化与美国文化的涵养之中。他始终保持精力充沛而对所有专业事务都随时做好准备。由于这些积极任事的态度，他在大学毕业之前就被美林证券网罗，成为私人财富管理顾问，任职期间以期专业与投入，向客户建议的财富规划皆是高纯利投资组合。从 2001 年起，他也开始投资夏威夷私人房地产。

Honolulu is her home, since it has the advantage of being located between California and China and it has a long history of being a melting pot of cultures that is particularly welcoming to Chinese, Japanese, and Pacific Rim residents. 

思妤现在定居在夏威夷，因为这是加州与中国交会的最佳地点。而夏威夷百年以来就以民族熔炉闻名于世，这里也是许多杰出华人、日本人与环太平洋后裔的新故乡。

Another great advantage is the educational opportunities and safety afforded to Catherine’s young child, who is in the first grade. Honolulu’s Private Preparatory Schools rank among the best in the nation, like Punahou School where President Barack Obama graduated from, and Iolani School where Dr. Sun Yat Sen graduated from. While there may be other equally great schools in some of the urban areas in the United States, none are as safe and offer as healthy a lifestyle. 

夏威夷的另一优势就是他有绝佳的教育资源与治安，这些夏威夷特点都让思妤能放心地让他就读小学一年级的女儿在此成长。夏威夷私立的大学预科学校（诸如欧巴马总统的母校 Punahou School 或是孙中山先生曾就读的 Iolani School )在全美高中的排行中皆名列最前茅。在美国本土即便有同等水准的高中，但没有一所学校能提供像夏威夷一样安全与健康的生活环境。

Catherine has been and still is an avid runner and outdoors person, as well as a health food advocate. This fits in perfectly with the healthy lifestyle that is encouraged by Honolulu’s pure air and water. Having travelled extensively throughout the world, Catherine believes that Honolulu offers the best living environment and culture for her and her family. 

思妤向来是个活力四射热爱户外生活的慢跑高手，对于健康饮食的提倡更是不遗余力，而这一切正与夏威夷纯净空气与水源完美的结合在一起。走遍世界之后，思妤相信檀香山是最能给他和他家人一个最好生活环境的城市。
